BlackBerry manufacturer Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) is expected to post strong share gains against rivals Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Palm (NASDAQ: PALM), RBC Capital Markets said, raising its price target on RIM stock to $150 from $140.
Motorola’s recent struggles are expected to further assist RIM’s share gains, analyst Mike Abramsky said in a note to clients. He kept his “outperform” rating on RIM stock.
Motorola, which has said it faces a challenging 2008, has been losing to rivals such as Nokia (NYSE: NOK) and Samsung Electronics in the last year amid criticism of its cell phone lineup and failure to produce a strong successor to the once-lauded Razr phone.

A group of state attorneys general on Thursday urged the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to impose restrictions on Sirius Satellite Radio’s (NASDAQ: SIRI) purchase of rival XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR) if it decides to approve the $4.15 billion deal.
Attorneys general from 11 states including Ohio, Missouri, Connecticut and Iowa told the FCC they were “disappointed” by Justice Department antitrust regulators’ decision on Monday to let the deal proceed without conditions.
The FCC must now determine if the XM-Sirius deal is in the public interest, and whether to enforce its 1997 order barring either satellite radio company from acquiring the other.

Adobe Systems has announced the public beta of Adobe Photoshop Express, a free rich Internet application (RIA) version of its flagship image editing application but usable via a Web browser. During the beta process, Adobe will solicit users for feedback on product features and functionality and will update the application with user ideas as well as bug fixes.
Users may store up to two gigabytes of images online where they can upload their favorite files, edit them in Photoshop Express, and share them online with other sites, such as social network sites like Facebook.
Photoshop Express won’t be in the same league as the full blown product, but it will let users make simple edits, like resizing, cropping, converting to black and white, removing red eye and other blemishes.

Taking The Measure of YouTube
Autor admin | 28.03.2008 | Category SEO
Google’s (NASDAQ: GOOG) YouTube has announced a new analytics tool that will enable publishers and advertisers to track viewership on the popular video-sharing site.
Freely available to anyone with a YouTube account, the Insight feature offers detailed information about who is watching their videos, such as statistics on viewers by geographic region.
Insight builds on the rudimentary tracking tools YouTube had previously offered users, such as comments, viewer ratings and the popularity of a clip relative to all other content on the site. But with the new offering, the runaway leader in online video has taken a great leap forward in becoming an engine for ad revenue.

The SEO Copywriter: Wordsmithing the Web
Autor admin | 28.03.2008 | Category SEO

In SEO, as in war, generals and officers must gather intelligence and develop a strategy in preparation for a campaign. For all the high-level thinking that goes into an engagement, you need troops on the ground to make sure the plan is carried out.
The tank gunners, frontline infantry, and snipers of the SEO team are undoubtedly the SEO copywriters.
